August 25, 2006: Red Sox 5 Mariners 1

The Red Sox win another one on their west coast swing, this time taking a 5-1 win over the Mariners. Curt Schilling has been pretty consistent all season, but went through a rough stretch in June and July when he lost 6 of 7 decisions. Well guess what? The win today gives him 6 wins in his last 7 games. The offense today was spread around, with batters 1 through 8 in the lineup all getting a hit and Gabe Kapler coming through with a big 4 hit day. Keith Foulke earns his first save of the season, mostly because the Sox scored in the 9th so it wouldn't have been a save situation for Papelbon.
