Alfonso Soriano ripped 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Washington Nationals
defeated the Philadelphia Phillies by a score of 14 to 5 at Citizen's Bank
Park.
Soriano had a good evening at the plate. He smashed a two-run homer in the
3rd inning and lifted one out of the park for a two run home run (his 30th of
the season) in the 6th inning. For the game Washington out-hit Philadelphia
11 to 7.
Ramon Ortiz(10-10) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and allowing
2 runs. Cole Hamels(8-4) was the loser. He gave up 3 runs and 2 hits in 3
innings.
