| The Red Sox and Angels match each other with 13 hits, but the Sox come out on the good end of a 4-2 win. Julian Tavarez helped save the Sox in this one, entering the game in the 5th with one out and the bases loaded and getting Orlando Cabrera to ground into a double play. Tavarez ends up going 2 2/3 in the game and gets the win. |

allowed 4 hits and no walks in 2 and 2/3 innings. Papelbon was perfect in
relief and gained credit for his 30th save.
Kelvim Escobar(9-10) was the losing pitcher. He pitched 5 innings and
surrendered 7 hits and 2 walks.
