September 18, 2006: Nationals 5 Braves 3
Sunday, October 21, 2007
| The Nationals took a while to get it going in this game, but they finally break through for 3 in the 5th and hold on for the 5-3 win. The 3 runs are knocked in by unlikely sources - a Melvin Dorta double, and a George Lombard pinch hit home run. That is the 10th pinch hit home run this year for the Nationals, the 2nd by Lombard. In other league news, the first playoff spot is set as the Houston Astros beat the 2nd place Reds to win the division. The Mets lost while the Rockies won, so the Mets magic number to clinch a playoff spot is still 2. |
