September 13, 2006: Red Sox 4 Orioles 2
Monday, October 15, 2007
| Once again, it's David Ortiz who comes through with the big hit to put the Sox out in front for good. This time, it was a 3 run homer in the 7th. Dougie also went deep, hitting a solo shot in the 4th to put the Sox on the board. Tim Wakefield makes his first start after a lengthy stay on the DL, and he picks up where he left off earlier in the season, going 7 strong and allowing just one run. Mike Timlin runs into a little trouble and allows a run in the 8th, but Paps nails the 9th down for his 36th save. |

Tim Wakefield had a strong outing at Camden Yards where the blistering-hot
Boston Red Sox beat the reeling Baltimore Orioles 4 to 2.
Boston tallied 3 runs in the top of the 7th inning. The highlight belonged to
David Ortiz who deflated the spirits of the home town crowd when he lofted a
three-run bomb (his 45th of the season). Boston had a total of 9 hits for
the game.
Wakefield(10-6) was the winner allowing 1 run in 7 innings. Wakefield got help
from Jonathan Papelbon who was credited with his 36th save. Erik
