October 26, 2006: Astros 8 Twins 4 (Astros lead series, 3-2)

In game 5, the Astros reverse the score of the previous game and win 8-4 before the home crowd. The Twins certainly had the perceived advantage in this one with Johan Santana on the mound, but the Astros were able to get to him for 2 runs in both the 2nd and 4th innings. The walk was the killer for Santana, as he allowed 2 in each of those innings. The Twins would manage to tie it up at 4 n the top of the 6th, but the Astros would come back to strike in the bottom of the 7th against a tiring Santana for 4 more runs. The big hits in the 7th were back to back triples - a bases clearing job by Chris Burke, followed by Luke Scott to knock in Burke and finally knock Santana from the game.

Roy Oswalt will take the hill and try to clinch the series for the Astros in game 6. Boof Bonser will try to get the Twins to game 7.
