| Roy Oswalt and the Astros extend their NLDS series to a deciding game 5 thanks toa 6-0 win in game 4. Oswalt threw a complete game shutout at them, allowing just 4 hits and 2 walks while striking out 11. Oswalt also helped himself out with the bat, hitting a solo homer to lead off the 5th inning. Morgan Ensberg was also wielding a big stick, hitting a 2 run homer in the 3rd and adding a solo shot in the 5th. The Mets will send John Maine to the hill in game 5. The Astros are still undecided on a starter - could be Wandy Rodriguez, could be Fernando Nieve, or it could be Roger Clemens on short rest. |

Third baseman Morgan Ensberg ripped 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Roy Oswalt
dominated striking out 11 New York (NL) batters at Minute Maid Field as the
Houston Astros beat the New York (NL) Mets 6 to 0.
Ensberg enjoyed a fine evening at the plate. He smashed a two-run homer in
the 3rd inning and blasted a solo shot (his 2nd of the season) in the 5th
inning. Houston had 9 hits for the night.
Oswalt(1-1) went the distance for the shutout. Oliver Perez(0-1) absorbed the
loss. He served up 3 homeruns in his 5 innings.
Phil Garner was asked about the performance of Oswalt, 'He had his good stuff
out there tonight. The fans really get into it when the strikeouts start
mounting up - and that seems to give him even more adrenalin.'
