| The Tigers offense takes a siesta for the 2nd straight day, and as a result the Rangers have a 2-0 series lead. The Tigers had just 2 baserunners after Sean Casey's 4th inning homer, which would result in their only run. The Rangers got a solo homer from Hank Blalock in the 2nd and then got an RBI double in the 5th from Rod Barajas to knock in Mark Derosa, who had reached base on a HBP. The series goes to Texas for game 3, where the Tigers will start crafty veteran Kenny Rogers against Robinson Tejeda of the Rangers, who will be making his first career playoff start. |
