In a thriller the Texas Rangers staged a dramatic comeback then held on to win
over the Oakland Athletics by a score of 7 to 5 at McAfee Coliseum.

Oakland was unable to recover after Texas went ahead in the top of the 5th
inning as they scored 3 runs on 2 base hits. The crucial at-bat was provided
by Mark Teixeira who quieted the crowd when he popped a two-run clout over
the fence (his 34th of the season). Texas had a total of 12 hits for the
game.

Adam Eaton(7-3) went 5 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Eaton got
help from Frank Francisco who was credited with his 2nd save. Barry
Zito(15-8) was given the loss. He was touched for 9 hits and 4 walks in 5
and 2/3 innings.
