September 9, 2006: Nationals 10 Rockies 2
Saturday, October 13, 2007
| When the top 4 hitters in your lineup go a combined 10 for 17 and combine for 5 home runs, you're probably going to win even if your team commits 3 errors. That was exactly the case in this one! Ramon Ortiz pitches 6 strong innings and allows just one unearned run in the 1st inning when the Nats committed 2 erros. |

Alfonso Soriano ripped 2 homeruns at Coors Field where the Washington
Nationals beat the Colorado Rockies 10 to 2.
Soriano was a thorn in the side of the hometown fans as he enjoyed a fine day
at their team's expense. He smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 1st
inning, laced a single in the 2nd inning and smashed a solo-shot out of the
park (his 38th of the season) in the 4th inning. Washington finished with 14
hits while Colorado ended up with 6.
The victory was credited to Ramon Ortiz(12-11) who went 6 innings, allowing 1
run. Josh Fogg(4-10) was given the loss. He served up 3 homeruns in his 4
innings.
