August 14, 2006: Red Sox 1 Tigers 0

Josh Beckett pitches a one hit gem en route to his 13th victory of the season, a 1-0 win over the AL Central-leading Tigers. The one hit actually led off the game, as Curtis Granderson singled and stole 2nd but was stranded there. Magglio Ordonez would be the only other Tiger to reach base, via walk in the 4th. Beckett then mowed down the next 16 batters in order for the impressive win.

The Sox lone run came in the 5th when Youkilis led off with a single, advanced to 2nd on a Mike Lowell ground out, then scored on a Wily Mo Pena single.
