August 13, 2006: Mets 7 Nationals 5 (11)

The Nationals lose to the Mets in 11 innings for the 2nd straight day. This time, the Nats wasted a pretty good outing from Tony Armas, who went 7 innings allowing just 3 hits and 1 earned run. Saul Rivera relieved him in the 8th and it started something like this: walk, single, wild pitch, wild pitch, walk. That sequence brought in one runner, and Carlos Beltran brought in another one with a 2 run big fly. Surprisingly, the Nats come back with 1 in the bottom of the 8th and 2 in the bottom of the 9th (on a Felipe Lopez homer) to tie it. In the 11th off Ryan Wagner, Carlos Delgado goes deep with what would end up being the winning run although the Mets would add one more for good measure.
