The Giants break the Nationals 4-game winning streak by getting to Livan Hernandez for 8 runs in 1 2/3 innings. Hernandez will be a Diamondback in a week, and I couldn't be happier.

Moises Alou had 2 base hits and Matt Cain was able to finish what he started
and was credited with a complete game as the San Francisco Giants topped the
Washington Nationals by a score of 8 to 3 at SBC Park.

San Francisco claimed the early lead in the first inning scoring a single run.
San Francisco had 12 hits for the night.

Cain(7-5) got the victory, allowing 3 runs for the game. Livan Hernandez(9-11)
was given the loss. He allowed 8 hits and 2 walks in 1 and 2/3 innings.
