July 21, 2006: Nationals 8 Cubs 7

In this game, the middle infielders lead the offense for the Nationals. Starter Pedro Astacio got into trouble in the 5th and 6th and was eventually charged with 5 runs, while both Chris Booker and Mike Stanton failed to put down the Cubs' rally through the middle innings. Fortunately, SS Felipe Lopez came through for the Nats with a grand slam in the 4th, and 2B Marlon Anderson led off the 8th with a solo shot that broke a 7-7 tie at the time. The Nats go to Chad Cordero for the 9th, and although the Cubs got runners to 1st and 2nd with 2 outs, Matt Murton struck out to end the game.
