July 21, 2006: Mariners 8 Red Sox 7 (11)
Saturday, July 21, 2007
| The Red Sox stake themselves out to a 7-3 lead in this one only to have Kyle Snyder and Julian Tavarez give it away. Then they get shut down going into extra innings, while the Mariners come through with a run in the 11th on an Ichiro hit-and-run after a leadoff double in the inning. The big goat in my opinion was Tavarez. Snyder allowed a 2-run homer to Crazy Carl Everett which made it 7-5, then allowed a single right after that to Kenji Johjima. I pulled him in favor of Tavarez, who allowed a 2-run homer to the first batter he faced, Yuniesky Betancourt. |
