July 14, 2006: A's 5 Red Sox 2

This one started out as a pitchers' duel between Josh Beckett and Barry Zito. The A's would get to Beckett first and score 2 in the 5th, but the Red Sox would come back to get 2 off Zito (and chase him from the game) in the 6th. Ultimately it comes down to the bullpens, and Seanez and Lopez are far less effective than the 4 scoreless innings contributed by Delcarmen, Timlin, and Paps a day before. The A's get 3 in the 8th and hold on for the 5-2 victory.
