Jeff Francis went the distance as the Colorado Rockies defeated the Washington
Nationals 6 to 1 at RFK STADIUM.

Francis(4-6) was in control of the game from the outset. He allowed just 6
hits and 1 walk in 9 innings. Colorado rapped out 10 hits for the night.

Ramon Ortiz(5-7) took the loss. His ERA ballooned from 4.48 to 4.84 as he
allowed 6 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings.
