April 9, 2006: Astros 9 Nationals 2
Sunday, March 18, 2007
| Another day, another embarrassing loss for the Nationals. Notice that they outhit the Astros, yet the Astros scored 7 more runs. How did this happen? Well the first reason might be the 7 walks issued by Nats pitchers. Then there's the 2 GIDPs for Jose Vidro, or even better the PIDP (popped into a double play) on a failed sacrifice by Ryan Drese. Then there's Drese's 2 wild pitches, Wiki Gonzalez's 2 passed balls, and Matt Lecroy's 2 errors at first. At least Soriano finally got an RBI. Jose Guillen got his first hit of the year. |

complete game as the Houston Astros beat the Washington Nationals by a score
of 9 to 2.

Pettitte(1-0) allowed 2 runs on the game. Ryan Drese(0-1) was hit with the
loss. Houston scored big getting 7 runs off him in 4 and 2/3 innings.
