| The Red Sox get the comeback win in this one with 5 runs in the bottom of the 8th. The first 6 batters in the inning all reached base and scored 4 runs before an out was recorded, to turn a 5-3 deficit into a 7-5 lead. They added one more on an Ortiz single and then Papelbon pitched the 9th for his 2nd save in as many days. Julian Tavarez gets his first win in a Red Sox uniform. The offense was spread around in this one, as all 9 batters got a hit. |
