April 14, 2006: Nationals 8 Marlins 6

Wow, the Nationals actually get some timely hitting in this one and pull off the win! Alfonso Soriano has snapped out of his early-season funk and seems to like the leadoff spot. Marlon Byrd contributes a 2 for 4 day in the 3 spot in place of Jose Guillen, while Ryan Zimmerman hits a solo shot in his first game in the cleanup spot. Ryan Drese gives a mediocre at best performance but it's good enough for the win.

Willis(1-1). 'I was a little good, a little bad and a little ugly.' said
Drese, 'I was just giving us a chance to win.'
