April 11, 2006: Blue Jays 9 Red Sox 2

Josh Beckett isn't going to win 16 games if he keeps pitching like this! Starting the home opener for the Sox, this outing for the Sox is only slightly better than his 4 inning, 8 run, 4 homer debut. This time it's 6 innings, 7 runs, and 2 homers. The Sox only runs come in the 2nd on back-to-back homers from Jason Varitek and Mike Lowell. Lowell, a former gold glover, also made an error in this game which just happened to be the first error committed by the Sox on the season so far. The 2006 bunch looks to be a much better fielding team than the 2005 model.
